Problem:
Due to management constraints enforced by their parent company, O’Neil was faced with the task of migrating all their domain assets to an isolated domain. Their production servers were running on legacy hardware, causing the need for replacement their desktop workstations and remote access solution. Lastly, the limitations of their on-premises Exchange server created extreme size limitations on user email boxes.
Pravis Solution:
We created a child domain and utilized ADMT to facilitate Active Directory asset migration. We also deployed a VMWare virtualization platform on an HP blade system and performed a P2V migration for several production servers. Pravis also introduced a Veeam backup solution, and implemented a Citrix VDI in a Box solution with HP thin clients for 50+ users. To improve email issues, we migrated more than 150 of the team’s mailboxes to Office365.
